Originally from Santa Fe, NM, Rachel found her way to Arizona through her undergraduate education at Prescott College. She studied social justice education and political science while also getting her Arizona teaching certificate. She taught high school, led countless outdoor education trips throughout the West, worked for a sustainability non-profit, and was the Education Director at Flagstaff Climbing. She graduated from NAU in 2019 with a Master of Arts in Sustainable Communities after studying environmental policy, water resources, and indigenous grassroots organizing. She currently works on justice-oriented watershed management in the region.
Since 2014 Rachel, her husband Zack, and her pup Trout have been enjoying Flagstaff’s amazing access to the outdoors as often as possible. She’s passionate about people and landscapes in the Southwest and is excited to support F3’s important work.
